We grow many of our own herbs
Thai bazil is an important ingredint to many our dishes

Galangal is an important addition to Tom Yum and Tom Khar soups.  Its a strong type of ginger that is added for flavour and as an aromatic (Thais leave it in the bottom of the bowl)

Banana trees are used for many things in Thailand.  The leaves make the bowl for our Steamed Curry (Hor Mok), we can make the paper from the stem, we eat the flowers (although they are not currently on the menu) and of course there is the fruit.
